Honeymoon Island Wedding with Lauren & Jim - Dunedin, Florida

July 17, 2019

Lauren and Jim were destined to be together! Lauren worked with Jim's sister and when Lauren went to pick her up for a night out, she just happened to meet Jim. They invited him to come along with them! Jim was a complete gentleman that evening and he even made sure Lauren returned safely. In the weeks that followed, Jim kept thinking about Lauren and about 4 weeks later, he texted her and that started the beginning of their story together!

They decided to have their wedding in Dunedin at one of my favorite locations...Honeymoon Island!! I thought it was so special that Lauren's mom and Jim's mom were both there while Lauren got ready to be a part of the pre-ceremony fun. They both helped her zip up her dress and WOW Lauren looked absolutely beautiful!! Lauren wanted to have a first look before her ceremony not only with Jim, but also with her father. Lauren is very close to her parents and to see her Dad give her a big hug when he first saw her, just melted my heart. Then it was Jim's turn to see Lauren for the first time and let me say this..Jim's smile when he turned around and saw his bride for the first time was SO BIG and SO HAPPY!! It's within these small moments that create such a special wedding day between a couple.

Then it was time to leave for Honeymoon Island for the ceremony and reception. What a gorgeous day and I loved their bright colors of blue and yellow they chose for their wedding! Their close family friend Cathy spoke words of love to them then it was Lauren & Jim's turn. They each wrote their own vows to each other, and while their parents and guests listened (along with their adorable dog Bella!!), everyone experienced the bond and love these two have for each other. It was so touching!! After a big kiss, they headed back down the aisle and the guests celebrated by showering them with bright yellow rose petals of happiness! Did I mention I loved their colors??!!

As the sun slowly sank into the Gulf, they shared their first dance as husband and wife. The sky glowed orange in the background in it's own celebration of their day. The fun started with the toasts and the best man had everyone laughing with his stories about Jim which began a full night of celebration! I know these two will keep on loving each other and celebrating their love for many many many years. Best wishes Lauren & Jim!!!
